how to rent a slip in new york city?

i’m thinking about living on a boat in new york city. has anyone tried it? any ideas on cost for a slip, any other taxes that may go along with?

can I still get on unemployment even though I didn’t file for my taxes this year?

i have to pay in every year because I work on a fishing boat and I couldn’t afford to pay in because i needed to save as much money as possible in order to pay my rent throughout the winter but I talked with someone who said I might still be able to get unemployment benefits but I’m not sure
