Oh I’m sorry, does your 4% tax increase mean you have to wait an extra month to buy your new boat? They sit there and wine, because they might be slightly inconvenienced while the rest of us are struggling just to buy gas. Give me a break.
By the way how does owning the business make you a harder worker than your employees? I’ve worked for some small business owners in my life and from my experience they take a lot of vacation.

reading in the newpaper yesterday, 18 cubans landed on the west coast of Florida that were headed to Miami, strong winds took them to west. They came to the US and are being allowed to stay! I strongly disargee. If you come to US soil/land illegaly, you should be sent back in 24 hours. it’s not fair to our workers. immigrants don’t pay taxes, social security, insurance, but when it comes time for them to collect Social security @ 65, they are the 1st in line. It’s an outrage. These people were spotted by a sprimp boat driver on a Hwy walking soaked with ocean water, dehydrated and with hypothermia. They should get a hot meal, dry clothes and a ticket back to their country. What if it were an Arab or Chinese person, we would be worried about terrorism or the Avian/Chicken flu coming over with them. What’s the difference? As a PROUD, strong Latino I’m going to have to disagree strongly with swimming or boating immigrants.

C.T. has many issues like an increasing yearly vehicle/trailer/boat tax, increasing yearly income tax, increased taxes on food items and cigarettes, gas cost is 5 to 10 cents higher than the national average, yearly property taxes for homes start around $2,000 and go beyond $5,000. The state offers nothing to national and world wide tourists so it does not see any money from tourism. C.T. has many laws and regulations that drain it’s people to create state and town revenue through fines, fees, taxes, and penalties. It is the only state where you can not own a bullet proof vest for personal safety whether for hunting or otherwise. There are more reasons to avoid C.T. but we don’t have all day.

On the news today they were talking about the millions we are losing every year. To people who fly here, get off the plane and check into the hospital, get whatever they need done fixed and then get on the plane to go home without paying a cent. One woman had bowel cancer and came here, spent 7 months in the hospital and then flew home. But you could lose your home and your life savings if you were in the same boat.Isn’t it time something was done about all the freebies we hand out every year? I just can’t afford any more tax increases.

This has to be the stumpiest idea that has come out of the minds of Politicians since the now famous “Luxury Boat Tax”./

The government wants to borrow 850 billion from the Chinese and give it away to people in the form of Tax-Breaks….to, and GET THIS Stimulate the economy.

In other words “BORROW” our way into prosperity!

In the History of the world this has NEVER worked…period!

Oh BTW, the Repayment of the Prosperity Loan is being Re-Paid by the very people it’s supposed to help.

This isn’t even Tax & Spend………..it’s Borrow, give-away & tax later

When will we learn the Government has NO money…other than what we give it.
