Amazing that so many on the left would criticize some one for raising funds for and giving funds to our brave soldiers. Their belief that the government is the solution to every body’s problems must blind them to the value of personal giving. Good for Rush for taking an idiotic censure and turning it into something that can help our volunteer soldiers………

Because he wants America to believe that he is the “selfless giving person” and makes known his charitable contributions. However if he were truly charitable….no one would know that he has given a dime…..oh….sorry forgot…..I get to take it off my income tax that’s right….so it doesn’t cost me a dime and I get plenty of mileage and high honors…..

He is brilliant! To turn around, sell this letter and then to donate the money to a charity is a slap in the face to the signors. He is also going to match the bid which is even more amazing. Thank God for free speech!

Because he’s Rush being Rush. All the negative comments being left by people answering this question have no idea who Rush is and what Rush does. All they are are parrots – repeating something they heard Dingy Harry Ried, or Stretch Pelosi say.
This is just another masterful move by Rush in beating the Libs at their own game. He is so much smarter than all of them and as he always says they can never win in the arena of ideas, so they have to resort to smearing.
BTW, Rush is going to match the donation of the winning bidder and he has asked that the 41 senators who signed the letter also match it. We’ll see if they care for the soldiers as much as they pretend to.

The only publicity stunt was the idiotic letter signed by 41 Democratic Senators. It’s difficult to imagine that these 41 Democrats actually believe that attacking an individual citizen is part of their job description. Apparently they do not have more important things to do.
Limbaugh has always been a huge supporter of the military, and his auction of the Dem’s handiwork is just the latest example of him exposing these buffoons for what they are.

limbaugh is not stupid! This action only increases his public exposure,and advances his wealth. He is no more than an entertainer,which by “Spinning the truth” to his conservative base, thru his talk show, enlarges his audience.. This action is wanted attention. Our govt.,played right into his hand, by the senators idiocy! We the people should ignore ignorance, and not encourage it.. Is this the kind of model America should embrace?? I dont listen to his show, because of the half-truths, and the name calling,and the hate. When you look a the mans credentials, is this what ” VALUES” is all about??? If he were truly a consevative,of values, he would have done armed services when called to, even with his “4 f status because of a “genetic ” condition!! You can volunteer for peace core service, or other support armed services.. He didnt! He has been divorced 3 times I know of, but of course the hypocrite right, can excuse that, because half of them are also divorced!! A drug user, and in the quanity, he should have been consideredl a dealer!! Doctor shopping, for drugs, is also criminal! You or I would have been in jail for trying to procure the amount of drugs he soughrt on a reguar basis. But , he got rehabilitation.. 30 days later he was cured.. RIGHT…. Why is the Doctor of Democracy, Rush Limbaugh, giving so much to charity?
BECAUSE A nice lady decided to bid $2,100,100 on the letter. Oh and like many of you have said, Rush will donate the amount that was bid. So count on $4,200,200 being donated to the Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation. Will the Democratic politicians donate the same like Rush asked, I doubt it, because they are greedy arrogant sons(daughters-Hilary) of bitches
