I would like to know how long would it be before i can get my refund. It is being reviewed. I have sent in a all of my information. It’s being about three weeks now and it is saying it is still being reviewed. How long does it really take to review it? I really need my money. Can any one give me a good answer? Someone who have had the same experience or know someone who is in the same boat.

3 to 5 weeks appears to be typical this year. This is about average for this time in the tax season. With a bit of luck you may see your money in a week or so.

Regrettably there is no time limit set in stone when the IRS does a review (a polite way of saying an audit). I have been “reviewed” twice over the years and the amount of time required was different in each case. The first time, it was less than two weeks. The second time it was about 6 weeks.
The IRS will do a review/audit on a random basis or if something in a persons returns sets off an alarm. As long as your info is legit, then there is nothing to worry about except the additional waiting time to receive your refund.

I’m in that boat along with alot of people I e-filed on Feb3rd and was accepted on the 4th had a original due date of 2/17 that came and went. On the 18th the WMR said code 1301. I called the IRS and was told that it got pulled for review and that it could take up to 4weeks. Now I just checked again and it is telling me that on 3/10 if no errors are found I should have my refund. by 3/10. I find this funny because it was already reviewed and put back in for processing.
I don’t believe I will be getting my direct deposit refund on 3/10. That date is a Tuesday and from what I understand the IRS does there deposits on Fridays.

Code 1301 seems to haunt me since February – each time I call they really dont know why – could be their technical error x 2 reps, could be mine (doubt it – just had lifestyle changes so probably triggered an alert) – not worried just seems strange to not be updated since February – sighs – but did have original deposit dates of 2.8 2.13 and 2.20 but then the famous 1301!! arrrrrrrrr
